hotwired007 Posted July 14, 2010 Posted July 14, 2010 I Have a Dell optiplex 745 thats giving me some issues - typically just after the 3 year warranty expired... Basically the unit doesnt work... i have tested the PSU on another computer and it works fine, but when you plug it into this one it just changes from an orange light to off, i then have to unplug the power from the psu to reset it... i have stripped the PC of all its components and taken out the CMOS battery and cleaned it completely of dust... still no change... any ideas?

hotwired007 Posted July 15, 2010 Author Posted July 15, 2010 Ouch... spoke to Dell this morning... £305 to replace the motherboard... even after a known fault and knowing that the warranty should be extended... i'll have to try and hand hold the PCs through the next year or so... 2 down so far and 29 to go... its sooooo frustrating as they are all mounted into the all in one monitor stands too!
