Y11+Y13 Documents

What is Lancashires policy on keeping Year 11+13 Documents. How long should these be kept.

dont know, but you could back them up on a tape for a year, or as I've done place them on a different server. Ill probs keep it on there for a year or so.

We back them up on DVD after their last exam and it goes into storage. It's lovely seeing such a chunk of free space once they are gone.

This document from the Records Management Society is what my school use as the basis for the retention of all things connected with school. Does your school use this or something similar? Looking at Curriculum, it looks like you need to keep it for 12 months.

My school uses nothing at present and the county council dont appear to have any guide lines for the schools at all
