Guest theeldergeek Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 We are going to have a few monitors going spare after the Summer hols, and one little project being discussed is to create a video wall. If we had 9 screens (a 3 x 3 'grid') we'd have to have 9 computers, 1 for each screen, or is their gadgetry out there that could do this for us? I know nothing about this sort of thing, so some clue would be good. Thanks.
Tricky_Dicky Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 No you don't need 9 computers, in fact I think that would make it really hard to do. Is it something like this :Wall Solutions you are looking for? If so, then a specialist graphics card in a reasonably powerful machine will do the job nicely. Rich

SYNACK Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) A couple of ATI eyefinity cards in a single machine would give you up to 12 screen outputs and plenty of graphics power, you could easily play most modern games across the whole screen array.
