localzuk Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 I have an old Brother HL-1250 which I use in my office, and am hoping to get it working on a 64bit 2k8 machine. Anyone got any ideas about drivers? The Brother site is less than helpful...
SYNACK Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 Nice and easy, just do a search here for HL-1250 Microsoft Update Catalog must be in IE but will give you the x64 and x32 drivers for Win7/2k8r2 and even drivers for Itanium versions if you are mad
localzuk Posted June 29, 2010 Author Posted June 29, 2010 I found it in the end. My machine had a funny five minutes and refused to recognise the printer. After a restart, it auto-installed without any issues.
KK20 Posted July 7, 2010 Posted July 7, 2010 I had many issues installing 64 bit HP drivers (4000, 3500 and 4600) in the end it was because the .inf file had "%%%PCL6" instead of "%%%PCL 6" a quick edit to add the space and on went the 64 bit drivers.
