Applicants are invited for the fixed term position of Systems Support Officer in Library and Information Services, Reference M0886.

 

This post is based in the Systems Team supporting computing services to Swansea University and Managed Learning technical support for Trinity College Carmarthen. The postholder will work as part of a team to install, upgrade, maintain, monitor, backup and restore core Microsoft based ICT services such as Windows 2003, Active Directory, Exchange 2003, IIS, SQL Server 2000, RMS helpdesk, Blackboard e-Learning and MOM.

 

The successful applicant should have a first degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with a broad IT background including Microsoft server and desktop operating systems, Enterprise email systems, web servers and services, and networking protocols for Microsoft services. Familiarity with a scripting programming language is essential.

 

This post is fixed term for 12 months.
