£25,077 - £27,082 per annum pro rata

 

The Royal College of Art is seeking to recruit two Computer Technicians to work within the School of Architecture & Design assisting students and staff in realising their design projects. The main duties will include instruction in the use of software programmes, maintenance of computer equipment and a local network, technical support to staff and students and general administration relating to the facilities.

 

Candidates will have a good understanding of the role of computing in the design process and preferably experience of Mac, Windows and Unix operating systems. A good working knowledge of a range of software such as Adobe Premier, FormZ, 3D Studio Max, Solid Works, Alias Studio Tools, Maya and Photoshop is essential together with experience of instructing software users. Experience of surface and solid modelling simulation and working with students would be an advantage.

 

Both posts are available on a full time, part time or term time only basis.
