FMS Backup Question

Our backup system has failed. We use to use Sims but no longer do. However we still use FMS. If i backup FMS vie the FMS program. As there is a backup option within in it. Will this be ok? Does it backup everything i need?

What I would do, to be safe - is create a maintenance plan in MSSQL and back up via the *.bak file it creates to an external NAS possibly.

 

I back it up to the servers local drive then I have a script which runs at 03:00am every morning which moves it to our Theakus Nas.

 

Creating Backup Jobs in SQL Server 2005 should do the trick.
