Hiya, bought a Plantronics Voyager 520 bluetooth headset after been told by one of Misco's tech support that any mobile phone bluetooth headset would work with a laptop as long as it had bluetooth.

Managed to pair the headset with the laptop....problem is (and have tried testing with windows media player and audacity) after routing all the sound and recording through to the bluetooth headset in settings of both these programs and through control panel we've not managed to get anything through it; no sound through it and not managed to get sound recorded from it.

Working on Windows XP SP3 using Microsoft Bluetooth mouse dongle. Any ideas how to get this working???

Cheers!

Further to my original post, bought a bluetooth usb dongle and it works with my laptop (acer travelmate5330) but doesn't work with the one it needs to (acer extensa 5620Z).

The headset connects and is recognised. When checking the audio settings, recording and playback is routed through the headset but it actually isn't??!??!?!?!

It works with my laptop with no issues, just a straight install from the cd provided with the dongle then pair up the headset and its done automatically.

So....as you can imagine, I'm at a complete loss! Any ideas ppl?????

(The dongle is a Belkin Bluetooth adapter with Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR)
