Neville Posted June 2, 2010 Posted June 2, 2010 We have a server and want to add the spare disk to the C drive to create more storage. It is a HP Proliant DL380 G5. Slot 1 and 2 each have a 72GB hard disk in a mirror raid Slot 4 is the 72GB spare disk Slot 5 - 8 each have a 72GB hard disk mirrored to make it 136GB. I would like to add the spare 72GB disk in slot 4 to make more space for the 72GB mirror raid in slot 1 and 2. Is this possible withouth breaking the raid and if not what is the best way to do this please?

If its non critical then you could create it as a single disk in the raid then in windows mount it to a folder in C: e.g C:\extra space is another 72gb.
