pscott Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Am after a mini Video camera for the Music department, needs to be small and very simple, Flips would be great, but the microphones aren't good enough as it's for recording performances... Best option I can come up with is Zoom Q3, anyone have other recommendations? Budget of £200 max
Robbocop Posted May 26, 2010 Posted May 26, 2010 Well I really like the Q3. It's basically a high quality stereo audio recorder with an average quality camera attached. By average quality I mean 640 x 480, which is fine for evidence gathering and performance training. It just seems to be the perfect little camera for a music department or a drama department. Works wonderfully well just as an audi recorder too, of course! There's actually an education discount available on it - not a lot but it's there! See product code X204AWA on our website. 1

Those look interesting - audio that's actually usable, and video that might actually be a reasonable size to edit (our file server is currently crammed with video files from video editing classes a few days ago). -- David Hicks
