prad Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 User --> Administrative Templates --> Start Menu and Task Bar --> Remove common program groups from Start Menu Although be careful with this setting. I use it in combination with re-directed start menus. Not sure of the effects without
sted Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 if its just the accessories folder easiest way ive found is to create it in the mandatory profile then set the hidden bit same with outlook express/media player
pritchardavid Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 I have the same problem too, used to be fine in a normal unc path, but since I changed it to a DFS Share, this is when it started, also we have the windows media player shorcut appearing on the desktops
FN-GM Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 (edited) If you have server 2008, you can remove it using the group policy preferences. You could also use a startup script to delete the folder. Google it im sure you will find something. prad way is an overkill really it will get shut of the whole all users start menu. If Sted way works that seems the best way Edited May 24, 2010 by FN-GM
