Exchange.........Your Out of Office settings cannot be displayed....

Came across this today.............try and setup Out of Office and boom:

Your out of office settings cannot be displayed, because the server is currently unavailable. try again later

I've not had the time to look into this more yet, Mail Server is running Exchange 2K7 SP2 on 2K3 x64.

Anyone else had this before?

Which version of Outlook are you running?

We had this when we had 2k3 outlook clients connecting to a 2k7 server - ended up just advising people to use OWA to set their Out of Office

Interesting, just gone into the Library to try a machine out with Office 2003.................Outlook 2003 works fine with Out of Office.............Outlook 2007 is the problem

Edit: Scratch that.

Out of Office Assistant

This jogged my memmory. Just try adding the exchange server to your internet explorer proxy exceptions list and also, possibly, the trusted zone if it isn't already there.

if you try turning off cached mode or the cached settings when you first setup outlook. (cant remember the name)

You can turn this off by going into mail in the control panel.
