Stuart_C Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 It seems that my google-fu is weak this day... I want to stop users changing The user name filed in Office (Word/Excel/Powerpoint Options ==> Popular ==> Username). Is there a group plicy field to do that?
SYNACK Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 (edited) Not sure if it is an avalible GP object but if not another way to do this would be to change the permissions on the two registry keys in question to lock out editing from the users account. It is a tad complicated from a scripting point of view though: VBScript - Changing permissions on files, folders, and registry keys/values Edit: does not look to be an option in the ADMX settins as per this listing Edited May 15, 2010 by SYNACK
