[ms office - 2007] VBA Password Recovery

Trying to sort document out that someone has forgotten the vba password any freeware programs people know of to reset it etc

Is this a password to view the file or just to view the vba code. If it is password protected for opening the document you can try importing it to google docs as I don't think it bothers checking. No freeware programs for vba passwords from what I can see. I've had a couple of xls files which can be hacked using the tool on this site How to remove, crack, or break a forgotten Excel xls password but the newer xlsx files are more difficult. You might be able to rename the extension to .zip and see if you can extract them as this is basically all they are.

It is to view the vba code so can open document but can not open the vba code to view it.

See above. It's not a program, but it is free.
