i use symantec ghost solution suite.

What i want to do is when i use the ghost console to remotly image pc;s

The problem is that when it finishes imaging it adds to the domain but will not go into the specified OU.

Anyone else had this problem?

Anyone know how to solve it?

You have to delegate control to the the appropriate OU for the Symantec ghost account as far as I can remember.

You can alter the default OU too so that it doesn't go in the "Computers" container, but instead into your "New PCs" OU instead.

Right Click the OU in Active Directory and you can select Delegate Control, select the options you need and select you Symantec Ghost Account as the account to have the power and away you go I would guess. (I dont use Symantec Ghost but know Active Directory)

Josh if you still have problems tomorrow then post back. I mentioned the above off the top of my head, but I can give you step-by-step instructions from my server then if you need.

i have tried everything suggested by the smantec tech support and all they said was that i should try using the FQDN instead of the netbios name.

This didnt work either.

Does anyone else that uses ghost have this problem?
