Update your Joomla's

Its been a long time since the last one but 1.5.16 is here

They've pulled the upgrade packs due to problems.

Nifty, I applied an update pack before it was pulled, no obvious side effects yet

 

Of course, take a back up first.

I think the issue was with not being able to login to administration site.

 

They've released the packs again now though, so, UPGRADE!

Thanks Rush_Tec and others for your posts on this update.

 

When unzipped these updates contain files such as INSTALL.PHP; Index.PHP, configuration.php-dist etc. Surely updating these sort offiles requires altered permissions for them to be changed or they will fail to update - so why are they included?

 

Probably seem a muppet question but - hopefully - a few others are also puzzeled with Joomla Updates and no doubt someone here can answer.

Just to let people know. Updated to 1.5.17 from the Edugeek packaged version and stuff is working ok at the moment.
