So, I've just put Win 7 on my Ion 330 with 2Gb ram and its saying only 511Mb avaliable and 1500Mb hardware reserved!

Is the onboard GFX reserving that much??

Your guess would be mine as well. Does your video card have a certain amount of shared memory set? You may also want to check for a Software Memory Hole Remapping option in the advanced chipset settings on the BIOS and try to enable/disable that.

Good question. If the BIOS option doesn't work out, you can try loading MSCONFIG and on the Boot tab click "advanced options..." and uncheck the maximum memory value if it is set.

What board is it, does it have a BIOS upgrade avalible that might alleviate this or possibly new GPU/chipset drivers for better dynamic memory scaling? From the looks of it it has a very simmilar board to my media center box with an Atom 330 and 2GB of RAM with some shared off for the (in my case ION) GPU but it does not grab anywhere near that much. I can allocate in the BIOS and think I have it set to use 256MB max for GPU share.

It looks like it has got it backwards, you allocated 512mb for the video but it has allocated all but 512mb for it. Are you able to set the BIOS setting any higher, like 1.5GB and see if that allocates in the same way. It might just be something labled backwards in the BIOS config :D
