djsmiler Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 We are running an xserve to control the preferences on our networked group of macs. All home folders are stored on a windows 2003 server so the xserve is just there to manage the doc and which applications the users are able to open. When users log into the server they are presented with there home drive and other netwrork shares that they are permitted to use. When they click save to save their work in whichever programme they are working on the default location is in the user folder under documents locally on the machine. Is there any way that i can change the default save location to be the users home directory for any user that logs into the machine.
featured_spectre Posted April 21, 2010 Posted April 21, 2010 Xserve should have a GPO crossover feature which should allow you to change it. It's been nearly 3 years sicebibuaed it last so it may have changed alot!
