GrumbleDook Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 General query here (and being lazy) as I am looking for any different ways that you can suppress the warning when viewing a HTTPS site which contains some HTTP content. We get this with some of the sharepoint sites we use but I am having to look at client side options. Specifically I am looking at if their are possibilities of disabling it for either specific HTTPS domains or for specific HTTP domains. Scenario 1 - On https://nosite.la and it has embedded objects from YouTube, Voki and Flickr and we need an option of when we go to the above https site it doesn't bring up the alert, but when using other https sites it does. Scenario 2 - on https://nosite.la it has embedded objects from youTube, Voki and Flickr ... and we don't want to show the alert if the http objects come from specific sites, eg YouTube, Voki, etc ... I am looking at options on XP, Vista, 7, CC3 and CC4. Any help appreciated.
box_l Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 (edited) We know IE! : Mixed content and Internet Explorer 8.0 this is a bit of a blanket approach and not one i would reccommend if you browse outside your own/trusted servers. i cannot see anyting for site specific rules though. can you link to youtube etc as https? i hope i have not misread your query.
