Microsoft offers much-needed fix for Windows OSS development Garrett Serack: Open Source Development at Microsoft : The Common Opensource Application Publishing Platform (CoApp)
SYNACK Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Was just about to post this when I found your post, I too am optimistic that there will finally be a sane easy way to deploy and hopefully configure open source software on a Windows network. If this does go ahead as planned and is actually put into general use by the open source community I think it could mean a huge boost in usage for larger networks of computers. Certainly if it is used on OS products I will consider them much more seriously for deployment on the networks that I manage.
