Hi

 

I have 2 suggestions for improvement regarding attachments.

 

1. when you come to upload something I think it would be better if it defaults to the home folder.

2. when you upload something an extra . is put in the file name. For example if I want to upload a file called image.jpg when I upload and attach it changes it to image..jpg

 

Nothing major but might be worth thinking about.

I think vBulletin are working on improving the upload manager, given what I've read on their site.

4.03 seems to have fixed the issues with the attachement manager. When I upgrade us this will be resolved.

I must be thick or something, but I cannot seem to attach a file to a post!! I get to the manager, click on the Add Files button, click on Select Files, find my file and it is listed in the Add Files window but then what do I do????? If I close the Add Files window the file disappears. Help please!

Nope your not thick we are about to go to vb 4.03 tonight/tomorrow and only then will attachements work consistintly, its taking a little to get 4.03 through testing right now as it has a few template changes.

I am thick as I didn't spot that I was posting on a CLOSED thread!! Thanks for replying anyway, and for reassuring me that I am not toally losing it over the inability to attach a file.
