Sonicwall Users?

Hi,

 

Are there anymore Sonicwall users here? If so can you give me some feedback regarding there firewalls? Im really after info on the lower end ones for home use

This was several years ago but used a Pro 1260 in a data centre. Was not my choice but dictated by head office, I was all Cisco at the time. However I soon came to really like these devices, which allowed quick settings through the web interface, and had features many other vendors were still catching up on at the time.

 

Given the price I would always recommend low-end Sonicwall devices for the same customers I would offer the Cisco 1800 routers to. Regrettably my memory is sketchy so cannot go into too much detail.

I am currently testing/configuring a TZ210 with bleeding edge firmware (5.6.10 or something).

 

They are Very good indeed, especially for the money.

Hi

 

We have a SonicWall Pro 4060 (not cheap I know) and it is feature rich. I cannot work out how to NAT a private range 172.16.0.1/16 which will provide me plenty of addresses for all my subnetting I am setting up.

 

Does anyone out there have any experience setting this up. Our county refuse to alow access even though an engineer came in and said NAT could be configured on the Cisco router we have. The Cisco ruter belongs to Synetrix and we have to submit change requests for ewverything.

 

Since we already have a SOnic Wall Firewall and SSL/VPN box I am trying to work out how to NAT through that whichwill be allowed.
