RSS Feed Moodle - link to school website

Hi

 

I am currently in the process of redesigning the school website, and would also like to modernise the technology behind it.

The school website will actually be quite basic, but I would like to have the majority of the content that needs updating regularly (such as our newsletter) to be done by somebody else!

 

I was hoping to use RSS as a means by which we can possibly publish the newsletter (rather than a Publisher file printed as a PDF and uploaded as is current).

 

We have Moodle setup in our school, and it is working well. I know you can setup RSS feeds from forums (in Moodle), but has anyone done this, and what are its limitations?? If it helps, we are on 1.9.6 version of moodle (i think..)
