FTP: in explorer!

I found a pupil doing this today!

I've redone my proxy settings to point ftp to 127.0.0.1 but I didn't know you could ftp through explorer!

 

I have this disabled in ie.. The pupil was transferring a game called eurotrucks.

 

I'm suprised this got through my ISA server and the SWGFL filtering...

yup, explorer and command line... (the latter being especially impressive if people don't know what you're doing...)

I don't understand how the files made it across. The traffic for ftp was set the same for all services isa:8080 and isa goes through the swfgl pupils proxy. Both my ISA and the SWGFL filters disallow .exe files.

 

!correction my ISA rules only filter http:!

 

I've now spoken to swgfl and they do not filter FTP traffic!
