MW2 Map Pack #1 - Cheeky Price!?

So I hadn't been keeping an eye on upcoming news but I heard someone say the first pack was coming out on the 30th March. On a little googling this morning.. (inbetween important work!) I find the map packs going to be 1200ms points! Now I had all the Cod 5 packs, which were all 800 points.. which I think was a bit more acceptable. Atleast they're re-releasing Overgrown, that was a map n' a half!

 

Bring back the days of free content if you ask me..

..and I suppose the selling point on PC is if you want to play new maps on official ranked servers then you have to pay official ranked prices!

I hit prestige 10 a few weeks ago (clocking over 700 hours in 3 months)...

 

Only good thing is the titles...not much else worth unlocking!

 

However according to Infinity Ward during the last live interview, in the Download Content, there will be a new killstreak reward - predator drones which allow 4 predator missiles to be dropped.

No ranked servers on PC, its all done by IWNet (similar format to xbox live)

Tbh the multiplayer on MW2 hasn't caught me at all... was obsessed with the original MW but this version just feels a bit...

 

No-one works in teams anymore, loads of uber geeks sitting sniping the whole time and the balance tipped too much in favour of the air support means the whole experience felt a rather stop-start. Much more enjoying Battlefield on PC, Xbox hasn't been on in 2-3 months now

 

As for paid content... bloody con especially as 1/2 the time it's rehashed maps, felt very short-changed by the map pack for MW at the time

When you unlock the Stinger the balance changes, two Missiles and they will take down most air support with one hit. Combined with danger close and the air advantage goes away.

I'll tell you a "cheeky" price; the £11 a month for STOL, and the servers are always full ergo useless. My lad spends most of his weekend trying to contain his anger!

Have they sorted out the network issue's yet? Stopped playing about new years time as the lag was a joke.. A game shouldn't depend on who lives closest to a exchange...

I stopped playing about a month ago. I gave up after constant lag, no console access to change my FPS max rate etc. Just a joke!
