Optimus Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 I have got a few students who have made multiple copies of their home folders in their home folders.. going so deep that I have to rename folders to a single character so that I can move deeper down the tree! Anyone have a script or a tip to help - I think I need to just compact all the folders in a folder to a single character so that I can delete the lot? Does that make sense to anyone! Thanks
carnforthhigh Posted March 18, 2010 Posted March 18, 2010 Map a network drive to the folder as deep as you can get. You will be able to browse even further into the folders then to delete them. You cannot delete a file or a folder on an NTFS file system volume
Optimus Posted March 18, 2010 Author Posted March 18, 2010 Oh! Clever! Simple solutions are sometimes the best!
