Ok I know I've posted about this before but I can't find my original post.

Rather than setup vlans and nac enforcement etc... for the odd ocassion a visitor wants to access the internet while in school what about one of these:

Open Firewall SOHO | Yoggie Security Systems

Can I then configure iptables or whatever on this device to only allow connections to one specific ip and port i.e our proxy server? if so does this protect the rest of the network from nasty attacks from this guest laptop?

If so it could be Smoothwall in the palm of your hand :)

Thanks.

Ben
