I have used Bart-PE for some time and it works very well – until today!

 

The school have bought some Dell Optiplex 380 machines, this where it gets hard.

 

1. I cannot load the controller – 82801 GB/GR/GH (ICH7 Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller 27C0

 

2. How to load the network card?

 

Can any one help me?

are you able to use a floppy drive, and make an 'f6' drivers disk, you should see a prompt to press f6 to load the drivers required, when bart pe is booting?

 

You could also try the previous releases of the ultimate boot cd, to see if it has some drivers you can use, and rebuild bart pe using those? ( the new UBCD4Win has a generic driver set, which i havent had time to test fully yet )

 

one thing i found out by accident is, ensure the drivers you put into bart pe are the same type as the original windows cd that you built pe from. i.e xp drivers when an xp cdrom was used to build
