Couple of tips I have found out while playing

 

- Bolt action rifles can have the bolt pull delayed by keeping the fire button held down. This keeps you zoomed in and helps when ranging shots at extreme ranges.

- Weapons have a minimum damage amount beyond their normal range and deal that much damage no matter what (but Headshot damage bonuses still count).

- Press F2 to switch to an empty seat in a vehicle.

- Take down a building and the MCom Station goes too.

I tend to C4 the struts that hold up the building after I demolish the walls, great fun!

I found out the last one about the MCOMs last night, was standing there wondering how it got destroyed without a bomb being planted... then got hit by the end of the mortar strike

Mortar = fantastic when you have 3 people bombing tanks with them, all going at the same time on a tank, destroyed in 2 seconds...did it last night with some clan mates

I havent touched MW2 since I have bought BC2....that said I actually uninstalled it and it is now sitting on my shelf....

I had great fun playing BC2 online last night . Started playing as a medic but having no points means that I had no medkits or defibrillator to use .

 

Does anyone have any suggestions for some good servers?

@BigWheels It's a very different game to MW2, the only real things they have in common are they're both FPS's and BFBC2 has a limited DeathMatch style mode of online play (the other 2 modes are much more fun as they are objective-based).

 

The rambo-style running-and-gunning won't work in BFBC2, if you don't work as as team you won't get very far!

 

There's just as much variation in the classes (scout who is sniper-based, medic who can revive recently-killed comarades, engineers to fix vehicles and the usual gun-heavy type, all classes of course have weapons as well as their special kits) as in MW2 and levelling up gives you new/better kit. The game also has gravity so if you're sniping accross the map you've got to allow for bullet drop, adds a nice touch and really makes you feel you earned the kill as opposed to MW2's "hold down the trigger and see what you hit" style)

 

Oh, and you can drive tanks. and humvees. and quad bikes. and helicopters. in multiplayer.

 

Dammit I want to play it NOW!

Preferring BC2 to MW2 atm (i'm on Xbox), i'll still be getting the MW map pack when i'm next online though, as I have some spare points to burn..

 

I'm especially enjoying the squad rush mode on hardcore.. It's quick paced and you HAVE to work as a team as it's only max 4 on each side. The matchmaking can go a bit stale though, as it seems if people leave it can take a while for replacements to join. Sometimes I've been playing like 2 v 2, and because everyones playing so stealthy, you could be 5 mins into the game and suddenly think 'wait a minute.. I haven't seen anyone', then realise the enemies have left! Apart from the those small annoyances the game is brilliant, so get it and love it!

Sounds worth a visit, will have to see if I can convince the better half that its a worthwhile investment (rather than squander the cash on kids shoes etc...)

As for MW2... my Xbox has been on once or twice in 3 months now, only for FIFA... MW2 multiplayer just didn't do it for me this time tbh

My advice, move away from MW2 and stick with BC2. It is far superior and you don't have to pay for download content!!!

 

Also nothing like having dedicated servers! :-)

1 anti tank mine + our flag + enemy tank with 4 people in = 680 points for me in 1 hit.

That's what I want to know! I hate not knowing what's going on, it's so much harder to work as a team with no communication!

Out of curiosity, when does everyoneplay? Aside from Rawns and occassionally zerohour, I NEVER see anyone online. also would be nice to put voices to names!!!
