renaming domain

Hello,

 

Anyone ever done a domain rename?

 

Just trying it in a lab environment.

 

Had a few issues that i resolved but now i seem to have computer accounts in AD that have still got the old domain name.... but... they seem to log on ok and on the local machines they have the new domain name.

 

Wondered if anyone had experience with this?

Yes we done a domain rename when we were on windows 2003 R2. Are you sure you have done the last step according the microsoft domain rename document (Step-by-Step Guide to Implementing Domain Rename)?

You can only do the last step(attribute cleanup) of that document if every domain PC has been booted up and got the new domain settings. Then the old domain name should be gone
