SIMS - Adding New person to System

If anyone knows how to get round this issue with SIMs would be a great help.

 

I have added our new Student teachers as a new user (not already known to the system) and entered as many details as possible. (They are not being put on to the Personnel part of SIMS)

 

The issue arrises when I go and assign them to groups, they are not showing in the list.

 

Is this something I have to wait a day for when before it worked straight away or have I got to do something else. This was fine before when i have manually entered them.

You need to change the 'Source Population' from User & Employee to just User.

 

To do this click the 'Assign Users to User Group' button after selecting the group.

In the 'Add Members to' window click the looking glass at the side of 'Source Population' and expand the 'people' folder.

Select 'User' then click 'Select' at the bottom of the window.

 

The new user should now appear in the upper part of the Member window.

and you have to do that everytime you want to add them to anything.

It only occurs when you have installed the Autumn Update that came out in Spring!? that updates the Autumn Upgrade.

You ought to add them to P7 first - with a Service agreement. Then you can record the basic information that is needed for Safeguarding - CRB Checks etc.

Ofsted will need to see the Single Central Record report when they walk thro' the door! And this has to include everybody!!!

The bonus is that you can then use them as 'normal' staff!
