Just got this from one of our teachers via FB...

"Yo,

Helen my house mate is head of performing arts at Cathedral and their techie landed them in the sh*t as he quit today, she has a number of shows on over the next few weeks. Do you know anybody who would be able to do some work for them (lighting and sound) pretty much immediately?

Or if you are available she said she would pay you or anyone you recommend freelance work for anything you can do!

Paul West their head will be ringing all the heads in the area to see if he can borrow any technicians from schools but Helen asked if I would give you a heads up (this way you could potentially charge freelance)

Let me know if you can think of anyone

Muchos gracios

So basically, Cathedral School in Wakefield have been left in the lurch by their technician and need someone to help out on the hurry-up to get some productions out of the way.

Haven't a clue what equipment they have or scale of productions - would take job on myself but already have too many shows to juggle at the moment between work & personal interests.

I can find out tho...

I know some people down here and have a few evenings free i'll give them a shout and see if there's anything i can do for them. Not done anything recently but have a fair amount of experience from Outwood Grange.

Cheers for the post.

Met with the school today and a few people. Hoping to go back in on Monday and have another look and meet a couple of the 6th formers. It's a lot to take in and quite a bit of work to take on, and i'd need to take some time off work to do it. It depends what the money is going to be like i think and how much the 6th formers take on.

I'll stick a post up when something formal has been decided.
