CyberNerd Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 How do I disable windows synchronisation errors on shutdown? Globally, preferably via script or GP.
Geoff Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 Add the filenames to one of the two “stop bitching about these excluded files†registry keys, HKLM\...\NetCache\ExclusionErrorSuppressionList and HKCU\...\NetCache\ExclusionErrorSuppressionList. All values in these keys are treated as filenames. At runtime the lists under HKLM and HKCU are merged into a single list, and any files whose names match somewhere in the list do not generate an error message if they cannot be synchronized. Also see this KB article. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;320139
CyberNerd Posted November 2, 2006 Author Posted November 2, 2006 Thanks. Your suggestion pointed me here: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;811660&Product=WinXP
Geoff Posted November 2, 2006 Posted November 2, 2006 That's the one. As per the KB article you can be super lazy and do: \\*\*\*\*.* Also check out the 'purge files for non-primary users at logoff' section too. Very handy for teachers laptops.
