We finally set the cachepilot to authenticate all our kids/staff to allow internet access through their AD login so now theyre getting their username as being reported trying to access a blocked site our job of policing the proxy sites in logs and blocking them has dropped to almost nothing, looks like word got round pretty quick and the kids just arent using proxies at all, the look on the face of the first kid who was on a proxy when we visited him in his classroom and asked if he was having a nice time surfing on his proxy and them telling him the address of it was absolutely priceless.

Result! :D

Hi

we are also trying to set up AD authentication with our cahcepilot but are unsure of where to start. could you outline the key points needed to set this up?

and does it still bring up a login box when they browse the net or does it get their credentials automatically?

thanks,
