My Documents Redirection GPO

Hi all,

 

Hope some people out there might be able to help. I have been testing with Windows 7 and Server 2008 folder redirection and have been fine with My Documents folder redirection. The problem I am having is when it comes to migrating old Win XP machines etc to the new servers.

 

On the old server configuration my documents was redirected to \\servername\users$\%username%,

now they need to be redirected to \\servername\users$\%username%\Documents

 

The problem we are having is pushing out the new group policy for the change in location which the users profiles dont seem to be picking up at all.

 

I dont know if anyone else has come across this?

Its probably picking up on an old policy just enable no override on the new policy this should force the changes to be made, we had that problem a few weeks back, made a policy called folder re-direct, made the changes we wanted in GP then made it no OverRide, worked a treat!
