Camera recommendations for use with DartFish

Hello,

 

Anybody have any camera recommendations for use with DartFish? Ideally small and light, preferable just recording to a HDD or Memory stick, instead of Tape/DVD.

 

I think Dartfish still requires use of Firewire connections still doesn't it? Or can we use USB?

I've been asked to investigate getting Dartfish and camera's associated with it (along with 2 laptops to run it on, although sceptical about that) and was wondering what camera's you ended up getting in the end and whether something small and simple such as the Flip Camera's would do the job?

You do need Firewire if you want live capture which was a real pain because all cameras within budget (£200) are now just USB.

 

In the end we had to source a discontinued miniDV camera for a touch over that amount.
