Denon DM37 + Monitor audio BR1 = any good?

Ive recently broke the right channel of my aging JVC beast. Had it for 13 years now so hasnt done bad. I already have some mission floorstandies and some studio monitors, but they are far too big and simply not designed for listening to music quietly, so im looking for a replacement in the form of a mini hifi with bookshelf speakers. Around 30w and no more than £300.

 

These seem to get good reviews, the amp being awarded "What hifi best sub £400 system", so im pretty set on these, but im open to recommedations. I havnt ever actually heard Monitor Audio speakers, anyone here got any?

Unfortunately the only audio store near me is a small richersounds so going for a listen myself is out of the question.
