We have recently had a couple of Polish students start her who speak no or very little English and i have been asked to investigate software to enable the students to translate the text themselves on the machines to enable them to learn English.

Does anyone currently use any similar software to save me searching for some? free or paid (preferably of course ;))

Thanks

Remember that these things are very limited. When I have spoken to people who have used them in the past they have always stayed away from the fact it doens't translate propely and effectively "broken english" But if they cant speak any english it has to be better than nothing I suppose.

That's a big shame if it blocks sites like lingro: The coolest dictionary known to hombre! which is a brilliant translation/language learning tool. If you create an account you can save the words you've asked for a translation on as flash cards you can test yourself with later. You can upload static files (worksheets etc) to it as well if the resource is not on the web.
