Word "normal.dot" deployment script

By way of passing on the knowledge i gained with help on EduGeek, this script deals with the problem I was having with deploying the "Normal.dot" template file to other users so as to standardise the toolbars, etc..

 

The script hasn't be re-tested since I updated it to be more generic and easier to customise but the guts are the same.

 

What it does is test to see if the logged in user is a member of a specific OU (eg: staff).. if the user doesn't belong to that OU then it deploys the normal.dot to that users profile.

 

Obviously it has the down side of not allowing the user to customise their normal.dot template but for the purposes of a primary school it means the children are all working from the same template and won't have messed things around too much.
