AngryTechnician Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 If it's anything like the various tax refund businesses I've seen, they take a large (~40%) cut of any refund as a fee for processing your claim. Or it could be a scam.

Tcsltd Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 Just had a quick look on the website and they take a nice big 30%!!!

Tcsltd Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I would have a look on Martin Lewis' website Money Saving Expert: Consumer Revenge - Credit Cards, Shopping, Bank Charges, Cheap Flights and more and see who he recommends as you might be able to get a better rate...there is also a forum on there where you can see other people experiences with companies 1
buddy Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 I have, they can and do get back some money for you, but and this is the big one for me. They don't alway tell you all the little things that you need to know before you say ok, i don't know if it's bad selling or bad staff but it might just cost you more than the amount you get back in the end. Once you are on there books you will get alot of calls and text's, even when you call an end to it all, as I think that they just are out for the sell and not so much for the after sale's. Go in to this with them with your eye's very much open, and go slowly, you are in control not them, alway remmember take what they say with a big pinch of salt.
synaesthesia Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 threadnomancy! All of these companies are a waste of time and are indeed akin to a scam. There's nothing you can't do yourself armed with a word processor and some paper, and perhaps a little clever wording. PPI reclaimations, debt management, bank charges the lot - at no time should you EVER go near a 3rd party company with the exception of some notable charities.
bossman Posted May 1, 2011 Posted May 1, 2011 The courts have ruled that the banks must pay these protection payments back and this will take time unlike the payment charges which have been frozen by the courts on a technicality. As it stands now unless the banks appeal this latest decision then they will have to pay everyone back so if I was you I would wait for the moment.
