itguy22 Posted January 21, 2010 Author Posted January 21, 2010 Just links to various sites and e-mail. More looking for a good design, something that looks profesional but is also very child/young child friendly. My mind keeps going blank when I go to look at it.

aaron_au Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 G'day itguy22, I don't know if this will help but there is a very basic and primitive (at this stage) full website that requires a bit of customisation that I am involved with.. Open-School | Get Open-School at SourceForge.net I am currently developing a customised 'template' for this web application, if you have a knowledge of php/mysql then you should give this a look in. Let me know how you go, as I said.. this could be a bit extreme for a primary school

HodgeHi Posted January 21, 2010 Posted January 21, 2010 I personally looked into creating a Wiki based intranet. The main reason was that the Staff could then be responsible for adding the content instead of me. They could create articles based on the topic they were doing. Since our school has a year split across 2 or 3 classes it made sense. Then each member of staff could 'add' their links and stuff that they use for the benefit of the other groups. Also it made it easy for the kids to access resources online since they didn't have to type them in. Unfortunately the weakest link in this resource was the Staff. They never used it, like most things set up here.
