Setting Microsoft Access Security via GPO

Hi Everyone.

 

I wasn't sure if I should put this thread in the Office Software forum rather then this one...but as it involves GPO, I thought I’d put it in here.

 

So, we have some functional skills "tests" next week...and I wont be here, as I’ll be "attached to a snowboard and throwing myself down a mountain" as my girlfriend calls it. Therefore, I’ve documented everything which needs doing, and set up all the accounts for the tests.

 

The only small issue now is that when a user opens the pre-made database (which I presume will be edited accordingly during the test), a series of security messages appear about "blocking expressions" etc.

 

Question is...can these security levels be controlled by a GPO...to effectively turn them off for next week. I want to make the procedure of these tests as simple as possible...there are people angry that I’m taking this time off already...and the last thing I need is to make everything harder then it needs to be.

Yep, sorted.

 

After importing the Access11.adm file, i've been able to set the macro level to low for the user accounts which i've made for the tests (this will of course be changed as soon as i get back into the country)
