Hightower Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 I have my users created on my Zimbra install, and wondered - how do I bulk assign these users to a certain COS? Surely it's not feasible to do 700 users one by one? Cheers,
webman Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 As per a previous DM, my import script sets the COS at creation/modification time based on properties in AD. As you've already imported them, you will probably have to create a script that assigns it to each user. Have you seen this? http://www.edugeek.net/forums/scripts/48075-zimbra-active-directory-sync.html 1

Could it do something like: "IF USERNAME BEGINS WITH NUMBER THE USER IS A STUDENT AND ASSIGN TO STUDENT USER ELSE USER IS STAFF AND ASSIGN TO STAFF"?
webman Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 "IF USERNAME BEGINS WITH NUMBER THE USER IS A STUDENT AND ASSIGN TO STUDENT USER ELSE USER IS STAFF AND ASSIGN TO STAFF"? As you can do that with VBScript and/or Perl, then yes.
Hightower Posted January 15, 2010 Author Posted January 15, 2010 Cheers webman - that link has helped a great deal. Check out my post in that thread.
