TechSupp Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 (edited) iIn the process of trying to sort out my Shockwave problem I decided to wipe all traces of Macromedia from the PC and start afresh, used the uninstall utilities for flash and shock and decided to tidy up a bit more. In System32 there is a Macrom folder but when I try to delete it it the file FlashUtil9f.exe can't be deleted, access denied. Checking it has read only, but I can't change it. How do I do it? I'm logged on as system admin on that PC. Oooops....brain wave alert!!! Sorted now but still got shockwave movie playing problems! Edited January 15, 2010 by TechSupp
SC-UK Posted January 15, 2010 Posted January 15, 2010 First of all I would try restarting the machine - it could be that another application has the file in use for whatever reason. If that doesn't work, try forcibly taking ownership of the folder and giving yourself full permissions again.
