Offline files synchonize to old server

Hi, i don't know if this question belongs in windows or networks, so sorry it it's in the worng section.

 

Anyway, about a year and a half ago we upgraded to a new server running Windows Server 2003 from Windows 2000. The old server is now just a mere print server and has no dealings with the running of the network AD or GP. On the old network all of our staff synchronized their homespace to a share on that server (2kserver).

 

The new server (cserver) now holds all staff documents and files, so they should be synchronizing there instead. However on the laptops they are still attempting to synchronize to 2kserver as well as cserver. This leads to error messages as the \\2kserver\homespace no longer exists.

 

We've tried deleting local offline files but as soon as the user logs on again 2kserver is offline. Is there some kind of global policy I can use to delete all offline files except cserver? Or any other solutions that anyone can offer?

Thanks plexer having a look at the file. We're also in the process now in cleaning out all of the offline files on all the laptops when they come in for service - as described in your 2nd post so hopefully we'll get it sorted.
