DavKellyPro Posted December 6, 2012 Posted December 6, 2012 Sounds pretty reasonable - horses for courses! It sounds like you've gone through much the same process as we have. Congratulations on the build!
vikpaw Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Wait! How did I miss this?! your force is weak
vikpaw Posted December 8, 2012 Posted December 8, 2012 Interested to hear how you and the other schools cope with the returns, and frequently changing goalposts, managing exam data etc. Good Luck
GREED Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Interested to hear how you and the other schools cope with the returns, and frequently changing goalposts, managing exam data etc. Good Luck +1 for that, it is an every changing nightmare!!!
msnealer Posted December 10, 2012 Posted December 10, 2012 This is a nightmare with standard MIS systems as they hard code everything. We had an issue with Serco that Ofsted expected one set of Ethnicity codes and Serco hard coded their system, only to accept local Authority codes. In your new system, not fields are hard coded except the very basic ones such as name, dob etc. Any field can be added, removed, or altered by system admin. However this doesn't fix the issue of analysis, where standards are change. The new EYFS codes for example. This really buggers up multiple cohort analysis
