Well I thought as I was mucking around with WDT 2010, WDS, WSUS, GPOs for app deployment etc I would get them all under one roof which SCCM appears to do.

 

Gonna play around with the trial version first.

If we have schools agreement already and have the desktop standard package which includes client, windows, office and exchange cal. Am i right in saying it includes a system center cal also? Does it mean i just got to buy a server license?

If you log into your microsoft licensing portal and look at your downloads it will be there if your licensed for it.

 

You normally get it with a campus agreement that has software assurance I think

If you have the Core Cal pack (sounds like you do) then it includes the SCCM client Cals for each of your devices. Under schools agreement SCCM server is very very cheap
