Hello all,

 

we currently have surfcontrol and have had the servers installed by an outside company who set up everything and we carnt get the surfcontrol linked with ad, it shows the students but when the policys applied to the computer it works but if applied to a student it dosent werid i know anyone have any sugestions

Do they have the Enterprise user manager setup on all of the domain controllers? This resolves the computer to the user and if it is not running then everything shows as annonomys and is filtered as such. You can also turn on NETBIOS username resolution in the little system tray config app on the surfcontrol server but that can cripple the network speed. You chould check the user name resolution settings in that little system tray app to see how they have or have not configured it.
