We're looking for a HP mono printer and the P2055dn is selling for around £260. Any views on this printer for use in schools?

Thanks.

Good printer hardware wise BUT software wise install the HP P2015 driver (Its compatible). As when we installed the P2055 driver it seemed to install some form of HP software monitor without asking (Through the add printer wizard, not HP setup wizard!) and crashed a load of machines every time a print was sent...

We find them to be a great small compact but extremely fast printer and have had no issues with them.

Agree with above, we have 5 on site now (the new ones with the green power button etc...)

Using the HP Universal Print Driver overcame all of this. You can simply set it up and hit auto configure, picks up the duplex, page per minute, size etc... and the driver can be used for any HP printer.
