Tevion 4gb MP4 player

[penfold]

I have just seen this advertised in my local Aldi (not showing on website) and wondered if anyone had any experience of these? Thought it might make a decent pressie but dont want to waste my money if it's rubbish. Looks like they have been on offer in Aldi before, but would like some decent feedback, any thoughts?

It's supposed to be £28 (I think) but I cant see this weeks offer on their website. It only seems to show the offers coming up.

CPC are selling these for £9.99 (ex VAT):

I have a (presumably very similar) Tevion 2Gb MP3/4 player which I bought from ALDI, its a perfectly functional device sound quality is good and the additional features work fine (Radio Transmitter to play to the Stereo, picture viewer etc).

My only real gripe with it was that the OS for the thing was rubbish and not very intuitive whatsoever. For instance when navigating between folders you have to press a particular button to go into the folder you choose. There is a button on the device which is perfectly placed (ergonomically) to do this but whoever wrote the software decided to get you to click on the least obvious button on the whole thing.

Dos box's post looks a better bet to me.

@penfold:

Have the very one from Aldi and it is fantastic for the price, got a couple of big micro SD expansion cards and hey presto have films (basic avi files which just work brilliantly) MP3s both music and audio books (Harry Potter) listened to all these on holiday in Greece this year and just blew me away for the price.

My advice is get it before they go!!! :)
